National's is in about one and half weeks from today. Our opponents aren't exactly weak, so there will be plenty of tough 'fights'. Everyone in school isn't in the right state of mind now. SYFs and other competitions are occupying the 'studying' part of their brain, erasing any desire to complete homework or revision.

Our VP gave us a briefing on enrichment week during civics today. There are over 100 activities to choose from this year, pretty impressive. The items to try are interesting, besides the biology concentration camp and other subject's revision 'packages'.

Service with honour. This phrase allowed my fellow badminton players to 'transfer' responsibility of carrying their rackets into my hands. At the end of the day, I had accumulated a total of 7 rackets, including 2 which are mine. It was a sight. I could easily set up a temporary stall at the central canteen area, and place the rackets on loan haha..

Tiring a day it has been. It's barely half past 10pm, and my brain isn't functioning properly anymore, sleepiness creeps in. Nightx.

Easter

Recently, I have been bugged down by a question on the purpose of relationships, and on marriages. I didn't put much thought into that, till that question came. So I decided to look up on what is known as the Institution of Marriage.

A quote from Kenneth W. Phifer, Institution of Marriage

The institution of marriage was begun that a man and a woman might learn how to love and, in loving, know joy; that a man and a woman might learn how to share pain and loneliness and, in sharing, know strength; that a man and woman might learn how to give and, in giving know communion. The institution of marriage was begun that a man and woman might through their joy, their strength, and their communion become creators of life itself. Marriage is a high and holy state, to be held in honor among all men and women. Marriage is a low and a common state, to be built of the stuff of daily life. Men and women are not angels, nor are they gods. Love can become hatred; joy, sorrow, marriage, divorce. But human beings are not condemned to failure.

I used to ask my mother on what exactly love is. The answer I received was, "I'm not sure myself, even after so many years of marriage." Indeed that was what my form teacher in secondary 1 and 2 told me, "Love is complicated." Eventually my mother referred me to the verses in the book of 2 Corithians.

Anyways, today's Easter, I had easter service, which had a buffer 'package' after the service. Following that came a 3 hour long meeting with my youth fellowship committee to plan for activities 6 months in advance. It was draining on the mind's resources. Everyone looked pretty mentally exhausted after the meeting. But it was necessary nevertheless. I only managed to get home by 4pm.

Yesterday I went to the gym with kaytai, and we swam at tampines swimming pool after the workout. It was noon time by the way. Scorching hot. And now my muscles are aching badly, 'complaining' for rest.

back to work it seems..au revoir
