As the night time fell, street lamps and walkway lights began to flicker brightly as they reluctantly prepare for work after a day's sleep. It feels so near suddenly. I imagine myself walking down the same path 7 years later. Dressed smartly with a tie, and armed with a leather suitcase, my image walks right in front of me into the dark shortcut between the condominium and the primary school. How strange it felt to see myself walking the same path many years on, lookily weary and tired, instead of the one currently deep in thought wondering if I'd every turn out like that.

It was after math paper. I pondered how poor my performance was then. I wasn't frantic, nor nervous. It was only resentment. I resigned to my 'fate' with bitter frustration, yet that anger was suppressed gently with a glimmering hope of achieving better grades for prelims. That aim isn't not easy as it sounds. It requires everyday discipline and persistence. But life cannot be left aside for that aim. A friend posted a postcard picture that was sent to postsecret.blogspot.com which said, "I worked hard and got all A's in school, but my life still amounted to nothing. Age 5X and counting.."

Anyway, those thoughts aside, it's time to talk about the happenings. The past few days were just filled with exams after exams. On monday there was GP and Econs, Tue was Chem and Math, whereas this morning is Bio. Although the exams passed by so quickly, I wished I had moer time in between to revise properly. Now there's no lessons till wed after enrichment week. It's good time to begin some momentum, although fun is not a factor to be missed. Bas, Shun, and Mike end their exams by tomorrow morning, so Shun, Mike and I will be catching the latest movie box office hit Transformers at 1.30pm. A good break after endless studying throughout the holidays (there were camps and other stuff on too). After bio today, I waited till 2pm for the history paper to start, and then left school to only reach east point at around 3.30pm. There was terrible slow traffic the entire bus journey back. Bus 170 was caught in heavy traffic along the end of Bukit Timah Road from SCGS onwards to bugis. Couldn't figure out exactly why there were so many vehicles on the road at 2 plus though, not in my train of processed thought then. I bought a book regarding the economic prospects of Singapore from popular bookstore, which made me cashless immediately. I felt broke again. I told my dad that I bought a book for $30, and he asked me if I used the student card for discount. He wasn't exactly comforted to know that I didn't, and said a good econs student/person should at least understand the concept of saving money (implying that there are limited resources, and unlimited wants). He didn't study economics in his early days, but true enough, any man who's out there in the working world should understand that simple basic principle. Sadly I don't realise that at that very moment when I bought the book.

The world's has slowly revealed its mechanism, and it's a world full of challenges, countless yet strangely exciting...Annie's nagging to use my computer to access some information, so I better adjourn to bed before she blasts my head off with 'death threats' (i.e. using the strap connected to a thumbdrive to strangle me lol).
