Bloc leave has been good. Spent adequate time with my family. I'm thankful for that. The past few days I woke up early to watch the sunrise at changi beach or east coast park. Haha good to try out new experiences. Ate a $6.30 packet of Cha Siew Rice on friday at my ah ma house. Everyone was like shocked when they saw the packet of rice..haha huge, like mountain indeed.

Went to stay at a hotel with my family last night at Fairmont Singapore. My mum wanted to use up her voucher. So there we went, and enjoyed the room ahahx. Annie had to do her homework though..kept pestering my to help her with work. Went into St. Andrew's Cathedral in the evening that evening. They had some public performance by some band...can't remb the name. It was not bad, except for the turnout bah..

Need to sleep now..3 weeks later then. OCS here I come!

I got accepted in Intelligence officer (IO) today. Got to make a sound decision about it.

Anyway, that aside, yesterday morning, I 'dragged' my mum and cousin along to East Coast Park early in the morning to watch the sunrise. So we brought along the picnic chairs, and some hot tea to a spot by the sea somewhere near Changi Sailing Club. And guess what, the extremely tall trees blocked our view...but we still enjoyed the morning breeze and fresh air nevertheless. My mum whisked out her bible and went off to a stone table to do her devotion, while I just sunk deeper into my picnic chair and read some bible verses. My cousin, she basically tried to complete her economics homework. I might want to do this again.

In the afternoon yesterday, I met up with my section mates for lunch at JustAcia, and then we departed for LAN. After our IGC, it was back to my house for karaoke, pizzas, and a movie. Eventually, 4 of them missed the last train home, and so they stayed over at my place for the night.

4 days left..

Had a more varied breakfast today. Wanted to try out a different combination of white bread, pao, and yellow bread. And it was good. Great start to the day..though I was sleepyy..

Asked val along today to watch the semi finals of aviva open. The only worthy match to watch (for me, and many others as well) is Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade. Sadly, Gade lost straight sets. Definitely an exciting match. Gade showed his usual skilfulness in trick shots, and his netting prowess, while Lee displayed excellent speed and accuracy. It was a match which everyone couldn't take their eyes off. Am glad that I made the trip down to watch it live.

Oh before that, I drove my mum to sim lim to get our old VHS tapes converted into DVDs and VCDs. Not cheap. But well worth it. It's memories of myself when I was young, and much cuter of course =)..with all the dancing and crazy moments I bet. Can't wait for the conversion to be completed. The shop personnel (who looked so geeky that his eyes cannot stop looking at the tapes even when he's doing something else) said it would take a week for the conversion to finish. Wow...one might have thought, a geek that takes his time to enjoy the conversion process..haha I'll be amused if it were true.

Weekends are getting packed..need more sleepZzZ

It's 3am now.

Listening to Eoghan Heaslip's song Secret Place prompted me to think about my life in solitude. I can clearly recall back in my primary school days when I used to think that I was an introvert, someone that stays quiet, and observe the world from a distance. I thought to myself, maybe I'm out to be a loner, to have recess alone, lunch alone, and to go back home alone. Perhaps, I just couldn't think of how I am to clique with my friends. The communal concept hasn't sunk in yet. So I'm pretty much all alone often in school (at least that's what I remember). Although there were times when I did prefect duties with hai song during recess at the field area, but we didn't talk much either. Ah, I remember that I was much more active in cca, when I could play badminton.

In secondary school, I slowly realised that maybe I am an extrovert instead. The inner me wants to be one at least. Something in me says, hey lets give it a shot at being more proactive. Loved my sportsclass. It was them and student council that made me enjoy school so much. My teammates in badminton are my classmates, and council allowed myself to make many new friends, and be more active in school. I have to thank my form teacher Ms Ong then for nominating me into SC, and to Ms Loh for her support in sec 2. I will never forget the feeling of being in ahs, the smell of the air as I walk along the corridors to class, as well as the path to the canteen.

In the end, I see myself changing and constantly improving. =)

To be led by the holy spirit. How amazing.

The night right after pass out parade, I landed myself in church at 2200h. Tired, exhausted, it was time for discussion on the devotional materials prepared by Andy. Human sexuality and Reality of the world. I sat at the meeting table in church, thankful that I avoided the super cold aircon ventillation opening, stared at my booklet. Blinked. Looked. Dazed. ANd started to pray. Help me Lord, grant me wisdom..

And He did. He helped me to share differing perspectives, on why we should avoid certain questions posed in the reflections page, and the type of focus that we group leaders should focus on...and a few other ideas. AMAZED I am.

Hope I can go back to play badminton with my NJ juniors next week!

POP was over on tue! However, there were unfortunate events that happened over the past few days. It was saddening to hear that case, especially on the day when we passed out. But nevertheless, I'm having leave now, so I better enjoy myself before entering my new unit.

Church camp ended today. It started right after my parade on tuesday, so I didn't have a good rest. Rushed as it was, I did enjoy the camp. The speaker invited was the chairperson of YFC, and he was an eloquent speaker. Everyone was attentive, and kept laughing at his hidden jokes and funny expressions from his stories. My group had two new comers, and I sincerely hope they did enjoy themselves, and probably would join us for future events. I led the theme song presentation during the opening of the camp, and it was good (we sounded good at least haha). Subsequently, I led everyone in singsperation for the first talk of the camp. It was definitely an enriching experience, and I've become mroe confident hahx..soon I'll see myself standing in the front of the sanctuary leading worship for our english-chinese service.

I was told through sms that I passed the absd testing for intelligence officer vocation, and am expected to turn up for final review next wednesday. Oh wells.

It's annie's birthday today. She invited like 3 friends over to our house and now they're all singing karaoke! Sounds like they're going mad..and we should be going out for dinner, haha she's bugging my parents to treat her to dinner. It's the second time she's celebrating her birthday in Singapore. She's usually back in Taiwan with her parents in June.

Looking forward to the outing I organised for my section mates next tuesday! It'd be so fun and exciting, although my buddy will most probably join us later due to regimental duties back in tekong. How unfortunate >.<

Let this sunday come soon!

10 more days left. Really fast. We have a gathering on 12 june with my section mates.

Just got my gold for ippt on friday, and I'm so glad about it. Guess the trainings did pay off. I do feel much fitter now yes.

And saturday I went for IO absd testing in the morning. Did some really interesting iq tests, personality tests, but they took like 4 hours in total to complete lar. After which, I chionged to find my teammates for the synod youth games at pasir ris park. They were at their second station i think when i found them. They waited quite some time for me, so I am really grateful for that. Paiseh that because of the wait, we were 'promoted' to the last among the 3 G groups. But the process is more important than the result. Got to know a few new friends brought by Lorna. They were Sebastien, Benjamin, and Jia Qian.

ZzZ...after the event, I joined my dad for dinner at bedok. I have no idea why he landed there, but he explained that he wants to find cds for karaoke..haha so cool. So we walked and walked around, and finally decided to go back to the kopitiam near our place and eat tze char. Haha..oh well, i borrowed my dad's car to drive to nat and xp's birthday party at maplewoods. And the guys found out that I have 8 pecs or smth, and tried to strip me, and threw me into the dustbin outside the clubhouse..hahax so fun. I couldn't do anything..just get carried around and dunked into the bin. should have taken a picture of that!

Sent the guys back after the party, and I got home like almost 12.30am. ZzZ..Thank God church service starts at 10am today.

Back to camp later in the night..oh man. >.<
