7 days left. Exactly a week. And I'll be running around in loose grey singlets or in no.4 to do push ups, shouting "1,2,3,4,2,2,3,4..." as I descend my chest to the flat hot concrete ground, and up to see drops of perspiration covering circular spots on the ground now filled with my shadow.
And I'll be botak.
I have to be on ALERT at all times in case a sergeant or officer calls out for us to stand by bed.
No one else can take care of you. You are now on your own to sruvive with your bunk mates.
At least I won't miss church. There are weekends for me to catch up with the world around me, while I get isolated physically from the civilian world, to become soldiers for a purpose that was placed upon us. "When you're 18, you have to serve the army. It's compulsory.." But definitely, I think it's an experience that's unique, and is worth it (i'm not even inside, yet I speak with such conviction hahx).
