Gave Mrs Fong her Teachers' Day present this morning. She was really touched I must say. Guess she totally did not expect that. She was the only teacher that gave me a present on Teachers' Day. How ironic. But I was taken by surprise as well.

Today was pretty boring. Lessons were quite dreadful. Perhaps because it's the last official day for lessons in Term 3. Holidays are coming next week. Well not exactly holidays. Recieved my promotional examinations timetable today. It starts on the 22 Sept for GP. Less than 3 weeks away. Sounds stressful huh. Oh, the J2s had their GP prelims today. Ms Phua announced in the morning during flag raising assembly that the GP tutors did not do those posters around the school (which included quotes like 'think, think, think' and 'Remember to plan your time well') by miracles. She sounded quite satisfied yet worried for the J2s. Hope everything went well for them!

Ahh..the sky's overcast for the entire afternoon. It's getting darker by the minute. Doubt there's training later on with this weather.

Tomorrow's Teachers' Day celebrations. Badminton Team's having phototaking too.

ah one-day holiday

Oh today's Polling Day off in due. So no school. Although I woke up at 6 thinking there was school, I went back to bed till past 12. Well, Weishun called me at 7.39am, asking me why there wasn't anyone in school. True enough, he was alone. And I was simply amused that he could be so blur to actually not know today is a holiday. Didn't anyone inform him at all?

Yesterday in school, there was a prize presentation for the winners of the Pheonix Open, students cup as well as the chanllenge cup. The trophies looked impressive. Mrs Lau kept commenting on the speaking skills and the language which was 'flawed'. I'm not sure if she's really being that skeptical, but it sounded fine to all my friends. Hm our GP's definitely not as good as Mrs Lau's, obviously. The worst part of the entire thing was that I addressed Mr Lo as Mr Too when I ended my script. It was a slip of the tongue, and the entire school burst out in laughter. Guess it was a good start to a blue monday. Haha!

It was a long day at school yesterday. I felt terribly lethargic. It's an indication which I've been sleeping rather late everyday. So today I slept to my heart's content. Lol.

Oh last night my parents came back from Taiwan. Flight arrival time was 2227, so I waited at Macs with my com for them to come out. I kept nodding in front of the computer. Haha it was almost 11 when they came out.

In the morning, my dad came back from Moscow. He arrived at 540am. And he came back ill. Pretty unfortunate. Anyway, it's cycling training, and I've got to go onto the rollers more often to remain balanced while riding. Illness caught up with me as well, and training was hard on my legs. ITT is in 1 week's time. Got to gear up mentally and physically for it. Just 2 laps of Coasta. It shouldn't be much of a problem. Think Loco..motive..=) Haha.

Afternoon was bible class, and I was around 15 min late, Rev. Shen kinda caught me late, asking me for the time. Haha pretty hilarious, because I bet my teacher, Elder Fuping, told her of my expected 'VIP' arrival which I declared to be 10 min late when she called me. It was a almost a 5 hour lesson for today. But I've learnt much from it. Eyes managed to stay wide open during the discussions. And Manson said my newly bought jeans was cool. Haha I seldom wear jeans though. Today's lesson theme discussion revolved around Threat. In Matthew 16:24-25, "If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget himself, carry his cross, and follow me. For whoever wants to keep his life loses it, but whoever loses his life for my sake finds it."

Watched the National Day Rally speech today. PM Lee talked about quite a lot of local issues, heartware, digital age, the economy, jobs and employment, and racial harmony. And its back to work!

10days after National Day..

Hmm just to keep this place as lively as possible, though no one would really catch up with the entries, probably due to sheer disappointment when they enter this website and goes, 'Oh no entries for 3 decades and going? Ahh, better give it a miss when I go blog hopping.' And there goes, the declaration of it's existence screaming in emptiness.

Today's Alumni Games Day, where ex-students are invited back to play certain games together and revive back the old memories. My seniors came back to play badminton, Andy (ex-capt), Kee Wah (Ex-vice capt), Jack (the quiet fella), as well as Tong Hai (ex-QM + brainy fella who's now a medic). Pradeep appeared unexpectedly and expectedly. I've got to thank Ching Fei for making a trip down from his house within such a short notice. He walked in by the main gate and out just to pass me the cupboard key. Andy's really appreciative about it too.

In the afternoon after leaving school, it was slightly drizzling. And when I reached Simei East Point, I couldn't walk in the rain without getting myself totally drenched, so I decided to have a walk inside East Point. The newly opened Challenger store was pretty impressive for its minute shop, relatively. Didn't notice that iPod accessories were up on sale there, and I managed to find the FM transmitter for iPod. Still amazed by that technology.

In the night, I went PS with my mum and two cousins (that live with my family) for dinner. Being the usual indecisive (anything also can, suka suka) typically us, we took quite some time to land ourselves in Swensens, partly because my mum wasn't feeling hungry, and we youngsters visited almost all the restuarants before, hence it became a dilemma for poor us. Anyway, we did decide on something afterall.

10 Aug

Last night's parade was spectacular, the fireworks surprised all of us. At random points during the parade, fireworks dazzled us, and no, I wasn't there at the parade, I was at home. Bird's eye view still seems better, though we don't have the atmosphere. Afterall, it's the last time Kallang Stadium will be used.

There wasn't school today, so training resumed in the morning. I managed to leave earlier at 1045 to rush to hougang for PW. It was the first time I took 153 from Toa Payoh and throughout the journey I was typically moving through foreign plains. Good to explore the northeastern part. And I stopped at Kovan to buy Aquarium nets. I was late, but I couldn't care less. It would be too much of a favour to ask those autistic children to use their hands to scoop the fish out of the tanks. Haha, at least I can't imagine that. Anyway, getting the autistic children to feed the fish, and change the water went well. Communication wasn't that bad, but we wouldn't know if they really understood what we said. It was a wonderful experience watching them staring at the fish looking so fascinated. And a joy teaching them to change the aquarium's water.

Back to school tomorrow! lUckiLy its only 1 day. =)

National Day

Its national day today. And my church fellowship group's coming later to cook up a delicious dish to present at tonight's fellowship meeting. I really wonder if they would simply mess up the entire house! haha hope not. Anyway, this morning my granddad tripped over a small curb in my house, crashed into the clothes basket and landed quite a number of wounds on himself. Luckily his head only suffered a swollen bump, while the rest of his limbs weren't that fortunate. The worst wound was on his left forearm, a 12 cm long cut, 2cm in breath. It was a terribly sight. My mum burst out in tears when she saw his injuries, and my dad immediately sent him to A&E at Changi General Hospital after my mum conducted some first aid.

And I was back to work. Math. While I broke this news to Basil and Jess. Basil was busily rushing through his EoM, while Jess, I don't know what's going on for her. But I hope that Basil's Ahma gets better soon, she's in the hospital as well. My granddad's 88 years old this year, born 1918 in Indonesia, and moved to Taiwan before world war 2. I haven't seen him for almost 10 years ever since the previous time he came. He's an expert in clocks, antique clocks to be exact. He can't do quartz for nutz.

And the good news is that he's finally alright now. The doctor did an X-ray on him and concluded that there isn't any fracture. Hopefully he's on the highway to recovery. Provided there ins't any trafic jam.

Month of August

Today, I've made my first post in the month of August! ok, that's redundant declaration. My cousin has managed to change army camp, and he's now going to church often. Comforting to know that everything's going fine for him. Today I woke up 'later than usual', at 8.3oam. The usual would be 5.45am, every single morning. Festival of Praise is still on today, but I had dinner with my grandparents, so got to give it a miss.
